Nine feature films which I have been both lead actor and producer resulted in separate Best Experimental Awards from various film festivals in 1994 Wordfest Houston, 1995 New York Film Festival, 1997 Worldfest Charleston and 1998 AFM in Santa Monica, California.
Experienced financial planner and CEO of JLL Entertainment, I have liscensed contracts with Northwestern Mutual Financial Network and Prudential Financial. I am also an owner of Leykam Financial Group, LLC.
Currently creating as both film maker and financial representative allows me to process intellectual properties, assess their value, and provide the appropriate attachments to ensure a certain level of success. This is aided by my years of experience and high end industry professionals I have been fortunate to have worked with and developed close relationships with.
Early On…
Exposure to the field of entertainment came in 1967, at age four, playing guitar and singing for a variety show and continued through grade school and High school with plays and skits. In college, even though my degree earned was in Biology, I acted in two film shorts at the University of Missouri Columbia.
I started my film career in 1987 as a camera specialist with Panavision International in Los Angeles, CA. In 1994, I took the position of Director of Technical services for Tiffen, Inc in Burbank, CA. Throughout the remainder of the decade, I became a leader in the field of photographic filtration, designing, manufacturing and applying visual effects.
In 1988 I began my acting career simultaneously while at Panavision for various filmmakers, playing parts in short films, commercials and television pilots. I received a “Best Experimental Award” from the Houston World Film Festival in 1994 for best short film, entitled “Earth Tales.” I was the Lead man as well as producer. The following year at World Fest Charleston, I received “Best Independent Feature” for “Lost Victories” another actor producer effort that lead to a successfully financed film project titled “The Void.”
